My wife, Joyce, and I have attended all 25 Hartford First Nights – and have the badges to prove it! One of our favorite memories is that of taking residents of a Hartford Group Home to my office (former) on the 25th floor of City Place 1 a number of years to watch the fire works. The looks of joy and awe on their faces as they thoroughly enjoyed the fire works will never be forgotten!! – Harold B.

On the New Year’s Eve of Y2K my friend and I worked First Night for the first time. We worked in the Creation Station, saw fireworks at 6:00 and at Midnight, had a wonderful time working and later went to see The Nifty Fifties play. It was the first time we saw them and would see them several times after, including other First Nights. We would later bring our (future) wives to work First Night and dance to the Nifty Fifties. But it was that first time that is our best memory. – Howard H.
