PARKING, TRANSPORTATION, AND DIRECTIONS
Please note that First Night Hartford is VERY WALKABLE from one venue to the other.
In fact we recommend that you park for the night and walk around. It’s really the best way.
Bushnell Park and most other performance locations are all with ¼ mile or few blocks of each other.
There are just a couple locations i.e. CT Science Center (still walkable or take DASH shuttle) that are a little further away.

TRAIN AND BUS
CTrail Hartford Line rail service will operate on a Saturday schedule on 12/31. The last trains leave Hartford at 10:24 (southbound) and 10:40 (northbound), so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities and early 6PM fireworks. Plus, Hartford Union Station is just across the street from Bushnell Park. Visit www.hartfordline.com for schedule and fare information.
CTfastrak has free parking at many stations and directly serves Bushnell Park, and CTtransit has local routes from across the Hartford region. With an unlimited ride day pass at just $3.50, why deal with the hassles of downtown parking and driving on New Year’s Eve? CTfastrak and CTtransit will be operating a regular weekday schedule on Monday, 12/31. All routes will get you to and from the 6 pm fireworks, and some routes (such as the CTfastrak 101) operate past midnight. Visit www.cttransit.com for schedule details.
[Note that Google Transit link is default set to transit versus driving directions, and is for a 2pm arrival time at Bushnell Park]
