Have you heard? First Night Hartford has become a member of the Birdies for Charity program!
The Birdies for Charity program is a pledge based program based on the number of birdies made by the PGA TOUR professional during the week of the Travelers Championship. If 1,800 birdies are made, a $0.02 pledge would be a $36.00 donation to our organization!
Simply visit our pledge website by clicking here to donate, and check out the great prizes you too could win!!
CALL FOR PERFORMERS, ARTISTS, AND ENTERTAINERS
Deadline for application submission is Friday, August 28, 2015.
We are super excited about this year’s programming as it is our 27th Anniversary Celebration! (founded 1989)
In addition to the New Year’s theme we would like artists to incorporate our 27th anniversary theme into your act if possible.
Acts must be family-friendly. For the most part acts are geared toward youth in the afternoon/early evening and then for adults and teens in the evening.
We welcome any appropriate performance type. Listed below are a few suggestions although performance types are not limited to this list.
In addition we are also looking for multiple street buskers. If interested, please send us an email to: email@example.com
Announcing The First Night Hartford 2016 Logo Graphics Artist Contest Winner. Winning Prize Was $350!
Our Button Graphics Winner This Year Is!…
Creativity and her passionate love of animals have flowed through Brigitte’s veins for as long as she can remember. Inspired from the outset to be an artist and own a horse ranch, she has never stopped nourishing those dreams.
Born and raised in Québec, Canada, Brigitte had a desire to widen her horizons and acquire a second language. After attending college one year at home, she moved to the United States, and graduated from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor in Fine Arts.
Growing up with nature as her daily backdrop, she never stopped tapping into the organic world or anything around her for inspiration. Today, she owns her own Art and Design Studio called PairDesign located on the border of Avon and Canton, CT, which she shares with her faithful companion, Hercules, a rescued 11-year old Samoyed.
She also volunteers as a platoon riding trouper in the First Company Governor’s Horse Guards, allowing her to nurture this undeniable love for animals and genuine will to never stop learning. Like Clement Stone said: “Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star.”
Graphics will be used on our annual traditional pin-on button given to attendees as well as our website and print materials.
Can you recall a fun experience…? Do you have a story to share?
If so, we’d love to read about it and post it to this website.
