First Night Hartford is the region’s celebration of the New Year through our city’s arts and cultural abundance. It is a public celebration that marks the passage from the old year to the new with art, ritual, and festivity. The day is a multicultural, artistically unique, New Year’s Eve experience with countless professional musicians, artists, performance groups and exhibits that inspire thousands of people of all ages to attend year after year. It’s also an affordable way for everyone to ring in the New Year together.

Hartford celebrated its 35th First Night TRADITION on Sunday, December 31, 2023, in Bushnell Park and throughout Downtown Hartford.
